Location data acquired from the device is only used to calculate sun and moon related data at your current position.
The application does not make any of the location data available to third-party applications or services.
If you do not want the application to use your current location (acquired from GPS or the WIFI network) you can choose a different location source and e.g. select a city from the list of available cities.
